How To Stay Engaged In Pursuing Your Weight Goal

Do you ever find yourself excited about your weight loss goals on Monday morning, but by Tuesday you’ve lost interest? If that’s you, you’re not alone. Many of us have difficulty staying motivated during our weight loss journey, so I’ve come up with a way to help my clients keep the excitement alive.

I suggest creating “mini goals” each day as a way of staying engaged and motivated as you’re working towards your weight goal. Each day, I recommend thinking of a new challenge for yourself that you can easily attain. Maybe it’s drinking eight glasses of water, or maybe trying a new vegetable? It could be “no eating after 6pm”, or taking a walk after dinner. Whatever your “mini goal” is, make sure it’s something outside your normal routine and something that sounds fun for you to accomplish. By challenging yourself in new ways each day, you’ll continue feeling successful and interested, even when the scale isn’t moving as quickly as you’d like it to.
