How To Thrive During "Quarantime"

We’ve all heard the jokes about “quarantine snacking” and the complaints regarding “boredom”, “frustration”, “desperation”, and “fear” on social media. Rather than getting on that bandwagon, I want to provide you with some tips and tools to empower you.

To thrive means to grow in health, energy, and strength. So how can we do that while staying at home?

  1. First of all, consider turning off the news! The news is NOT the facts. It is “STORY” and can lead to an imagination filled with fear. Depending on how you’re affected by it, you may want to get your information from other sources.

  2. Allow yourself to feel the power and strength that already exists in you by meditating. Close your eyes and let yourself feel the powerful life energy flowing through your body. Relax and breathe deeply to allow the energy to expand.

  3. This is a great time to ramp up your workouts. We have extra time on our hands, so you can use it to your advantage. Studies have been showing that exercise reduces the risk of COVID 19 complications.

  4. Shift your focus to yourself. Who do you want to be and how do you want to show up in the world during this time? Remember, you get to choose the vision you have for yourself.

  5. Your emotions are generated by your thoughts, so remind yourself to attach to thoughts that keep your vibe high and light. You won’t have a need to eat for comfort if you manage your mind and emotions.

  6. Try your hand at food prepping. Like any skill, the more you practice this, the easier and faster it gets. This is a great time to learn new skills that will benefit you long term.
