How To Be "Picky" For Permanent Weight Loss
Picky is out of style. Most people are in a rush,” using good judgment is frowned upon, and “good enough” is the gold standard. Many people are desperate to be accepted and validated by other people, so they’re willing to go along with the beliefs and customs of the crowd.
I’ve come to realize by observing myself and many of my clients that being picky is one of the keys to success.
Being picky starts with the belief that “I deserve the best”. When you truly believe that, you don’t just accept what is being offered. You go out and seek what you want. You’re deliberate. You carefully decide what kind of friends you want, what clothes you’ll wear, what kind of food you’ll eat, & what you’ll base your truth on BEFORE it‘s offered to you. You don’t hang out with just anyone, consume just any media, believe just any ideas, or wear just any fashion….you’re picky! The one question to ask yourself: is this choice going to help me create the life I truly want?
If you’re picky it means you’re using your logic and reasoning and have extreme mental clarity. It might seem odd to a culture where” irrational”/ only thinking about “now”/ or not thinking at all! is consistently being portrayed as “right”, but your logic and reasoning skills are crucial for success.
If your health and/or weight loss is a priority for you (and if it’s not you might want to ask yourself why), then start getting PICKY about what you put in your mind & body. Be deliberate and decide ahead of time what is acceptable for you. Identify yourself as a “PICKY CONSUMER”. It’s a badge of honor!
