Exceptional Results Requires Embracing "Different"

If we want “normal” results which include obesity, divorce, debt, broken relationships, poor self esteem and a lack of self confidence…we’ll follow the crowd. If we want “exceptional” results we have to embrace “different”. The following are some ways I’ve embraced “abnormal”….and I’m really glad I did!

  1. I eat meat and vegetables for breakfast

  2. I eat Edible Arrangements (instead of cake) to celebrate my birthdays.

  3. I eat salad without dressing

  4. I wake up at 4:45am to make my 5:30am workouts.

  5. I don’t use social media

  6. I think deeply and introspectively about challenges vs. whine, complain, or ask for advice.

  7. I meal plan & prep every week (keep prepared meat/veggies in fridge).

  8. I’m not easily swayed by others opinions, ideas, beliefs, views.

  9. I plan action according to pictures, not words (visualization).

  10. I wear classic dresses that I purchased 5-10 years ago because they still fit great and look amazing!

  11. I’m unashamed of past mistakes because I’ve learned from them and have moved on.

  12. I’m a slave to self-respect.

  13. I don’t drink alcohol, eat sugar, or drink soda.

  14. I don’t watch/ listen/ read the news.

  15. I make sunlight a priority.

  16. I enjoy silence and being alone.

  17. I connect with other people by encouraging them and celebrating growth/ accomplishments.

  18. I never settle for average.

  19. I don’t have mentors- I’m my own hero, visionary, strength, support, & inspiration.

  20. I validate myself with achievement, not by making others a slave to my feelings.

  21. I embrace negative emotion and use it constructively.

  22. I get back on track quickly when I lose my focus/ mindfulness.

  23. I lift super heavy.

  24. I think about & am truly grateful for the brilliant people who came before me and changed the world through innovation.

  25. I enjoy making myself uncomfortable in order to expand.
