How To Eat To Achieve Your Weight Goal... While Honoring Your Budget

There’s this “idea” that we have to spend a lot of money to eat in alignment with our weight goal. I’m going to help you achieve freedom from that thought by sharing 10 simple tips:

  1. Plan nourishing meals. I can’t say it enough. Planning is the key to reaching and maintaining your weight goal. It’s also the key to honoring your budget. Plan your meals and write your needed ingredient list ahead of time.

  2. Stick to your list. Nothing extra.

  3. Cook at home.

  4. Cook large meals and eat leftovers. Leftovers make great breakfasts and lunches too.

  5. Buy whole foods. Skip the precut or “prepared ahead of time” food.

  6. Buy store brands.

  7. Skip the soda, crackers, cookies, prepacked meals and processed foods.

  8. Buy “in season” produce.

  9. Pack your lunch.

  10. Make your goal to eat what’s in your fridge each week. Challenge yourself by not going to the store a second time, not eating out, and throwing minimal food away.

Keep in mind that poor health comes with medical costs, drug expenses, and sometimes reduced work capacity. So, by eating nourishing food to achieve your weight goal while honoring your budget, you’re going to come out ahead of the game in many ways!
