Why Weight Loss Is So Much More Than "Losing Weight"- When Approached Properly!

I’ve always said, “reaching/ maintaining your ideal weight is ALL ABOUT THE JOURNEY”. And then some people ask me what I mean by that. Here’s my answer: reaching/ maintaining your ideal weight is about BUILDING STRONG CHARACTER when done properly. It makes us more self-honest, more resilient, and more dependable. Here’s how:

  1. It turns us into a problem solvers. Rather than avoiding our feelings by eating, we have to learn how to face problems head on and solve them.

  2. It turns us into humble learners. We have to be committed to failing, learning, and trying again in a new way, rather than following our ego’s tendency to quit.

  3. It makes us have a hunger for truth, rather than a hunger for quick/ easy relief. When we’re not constantly dulling our intuition, we become assertive and curious in all areas of life.

  4. We come to realize that freedom isn’t attained by lack of structure. Freedom is attained through pruning bad habits, following through on plans, and developing/practicing skills.

  5. We become independent decision makers, versus FOLLOWERS of the crowd. We create pleasure for ourselves according to our values and goals, rather than doing it the way everyone else does it.

Once we develop strong character, we can use it to create results in the area of relationships, parenting, finance, and our careers. We become UNSTOPPABLE in every area of life!
