10 Habits That Will Put The Weight Loss Odds In Your Favor

So you want to lose weight? Why not try incorporating some winning habits into your routine that will put the odds in your favor?!

Let’s jump right in:

  1. Take it easy on yourself. Stay focused and dedicated, but relaxed. Use style and finesse. Encourage yourself, stay curious with yourself….ask a lot of questions. Compliment and praise yourself.

  2. Have a meal plan (3/day) each week and shop according to that plan. Failing to plan means planning to fail.

  3. Pick a target weight goal each week.

  4. Think of ways to connect with friends other than using food/ alcohol, Get good at complimenting people, asking questions, using humor, and paying attention to details.

  5. Make your plate and take it to the table, rather than keeping platters of food on the table. Never underestimate what a few feet away from the food source does for you self control.

  6. Listen to your body and stop when you first feel food in your stomach, rather than cleaning your plate.

  7. Eat foods you love occasionally and in moderation.

  8. Plan your meals and savor every bite. Eliminate all distractions. Pay attention to your food. Is it hot? Spicy? What does it smell like? What does it look like?

  9. Relax before eating. Take a few minutes to walk the dog, read a book, or meditate before meals.

  10. Use the scale, but only to look for the lowest weight of the week. This is the number you’ll be using to measure progress.

Incorporating some of these habits into your routine will help you reach and maintain a weight you love.
