How To Start Cooperating With Yourself For Weight Loss Success
Your most empowered life is going to be filled with activities that move you in the direction you want to go. Decide what is important to you, brainstorm about activities that will support those priorities, plan it out and follow through.
When it comes to making weight loss a priority I suggest a morning routine that includes connecting with yourself through gratitude and meditation. Consider a variety of exercise each week that includes cardio, strength, and flexibility. I also recommend writing down what you’re going to eat 24 hours in advance and keeping a food journal of what you eat. Because sleep is important for hormonal balance, it’s helpful to plan your sleep schedule ahead of time ( and follow through on that commitment). You’ll also want to be very conscious and aware of the inputs you allow in, including social media and news.
On a weekly basis, I recommend food prepping once or twice. Designate a couple of hours for planning meals, shopping, prepping and cleaning up. Make plenty of lean protein (chicken, turkey, fish), hard cooked eggs, salad, and roasted veggies for lunches and easy dinners throughout the week. At first, it might seem difficult, but you’ll become more efficient as you practice. I also suggest including yoga in your schedule at least one day per week. Yoga improves flexibility, prevents injury, and promotes the mind/ body connection. Last, but not least is writing out a weekly schedule each Monday morning. I recommend including sleep, relaxation, exercise, meals, food prep, free time, date night/ family time (if applicable), reading time, social time, work, appointments, etc… everything you want your life to be full of- put it on the schedule.
The best daily/ weekly practices are the ones that you choose that you think will serve you best. Feel free to incorporate some of my suggestions and/ or brainstorm your own. Whatever you do, consider what is going to best support you, plan it out, and follow through. Go get it!
